Hey, new to the detailing side of the forum, so i'm a bit of a noob :homme:
Right, i've just sprayed my car white, now i'd like to know what can i use to get a nice shine, what cutting compounds etc?
it was sprayed with 2 pac paint, primered/base coat, then laquered.
obv i will leave the paint a good few weeks.
Cheers, Luke

You need to allow time for it to fully harden
Then you can either use compounds etc or if you are really brave wet sand it flat to remove any orange peel etc then just polish

if you dont sand it you won't see any difference.check out the 3M polish system on youtube, it shows exactly how it's done. but be very careful because you may damage it. do it unless it needs it.i'm a painter and i suggest repaint (if it's not good) remember that colors like white silver and more don't REFLECT that much like black or dark blue

i would wet flat it with 1500 then 200 to get rid of any orange peel and dirt nibs then bugg with something like a g3 or g4 then finish of with a finish line hand glaze or finess it with a ultrafine pad. tbh if your not going to use a buffer /d,a / rotary i wouldnt bother as the results wont be much better than the finish you have out of the gun uless u have arms like the hulk and have the patience of a saint. oh and if your car wasnt baked in a oven then you should leave it a few weeks to wax / polish it as the solvent from the paint need to evaporate or you will get solvent popping and will make your car look shite anyways good luck mate and take your time use a method that works for you.
