im looking at getting an oil catck tank for my vts. anyone know and got amy pictures of where to fix it too????
and also are they worthwhile????

how do u mean worthwile mate, it wont gain you any power or anything if thats wot u mean.

na i know that mate i just mean as in maintain the engine so the oil doesnt get sucked in and stuff, have you got any pictures of one fitted???

i would also like to know what a catch tank does, obviously it catches oil, but why, where is the oil coming from etc etc etc. cheers.

Lol chill out mate its the middle of the day people are mostly in work..
And to answear your question ive seen people make a bracket so it attaches on where the Power steering fluid is

Use the search facility.....this has been covered not long ago showing where to mount it and how to pipe them up.

It comes from the crank case as it breaths hense why you get a "breather"theres a more detailed discussion on what a breather does ill see if i can find it for you mate

Maybe because simple question like this could be answered if you were smart enough to use google or the search button?

"For those that have modified their engines breather systems an oil catch tank collects the crankcase gases that would other wise be fed back into the inlet of the engine to be burnt away. Once in the tank the gases condense into a crappy oily liquid.
The reason for modifying the breather in the first place is to provide a cleaner supply of air for the engine, at the expense of the environment which is why the factory set up burns it off. If you've ever opened an air box to find a load of oil in it, that's where it will be from. "

i mounted mine up to side of the rocker with exsisting bolt holes special bracketsits next to batt more or less now

if you havent noticed your looking at a three day old post so it nou like ive put it up for 10mins and got impatient!!!! Ive searched on here but all i can find is pictures of a vtr with one fitted!!! Hense why i asked if anyone jad pictures of one on a VTS
