His fight record speaks for itself, he should have stuck to hollyoaks

Compared to who though? The average street fighter in the pub, yeah. The elite of mma fighters? No.
Hes what 35 or something? Lost his last 6/7 fights? Peak of his career he was in CageRage, never got close to the top orgs like PRIDE, Strikeforce or the UFC. He was never that good, just making up the numbers.

that over guy looks aggressive, id like to see alex win but no i think he is going to get slapped about in the ring

Compared to the people he has fought in the past, I have only seen one of his fights from pre-celeb lifestyle, he was a good technical fighter. Only the very elite make the UFC level, they are mean machines.

Who has he fought though? The only name I notice on his record that stands out is Mark Weir who went onto the UFC and was cut after a couple fights lol, anyway Reid lost that fight and that was when he was in his prime!
Hes lost the last 6/7 fights to nobodys

Boxing is one aspect of MMA you silly cunt, dont suppose you saw what happend to a supposed boxing 'legend' in James Toney the other week? Thought he could try MMA and got beat down in like 1 minute lol :homme:

Dom
25th September 2010, 21:56
Butterbean for another example, barely made his name at all in MMA

Ryyy
25th September 2010, 21:58
I didn't say it wasn't you numb mofo', it is only one aspect of fighting, doesn't mean to say it's inferior, quite the opposite...

..Btw Saturday Fight Night is on Sky Sports 1 now with John Murray fighting if you want something better to watch matey. ;)

McGuire86
25th September 2010, 21:59
Yawn, boxing was pretty good say 30years ago. I like boxing yeah but MMA is as close to real fighting as you can get. Boxing is more of a sport imo

Reid's lost this easily.

McGuire86
25th September 2010, 22:06
Reid's lost this easily.

Not easy atall, hes given some big kness in the clinch and scored a few takedowns. 1st round he won and rocked him in the 2nd

jonathon5
25th September 2010, 22:07
It would have been nice to see george forman in his prime in a cage, he was a man fitted with a pair of sledge hammers for hands. He could take some punishment even in his 40's.

MMA will deffo grow as the shambles that is boxing at the moment contracts. The hey day of boxing has passed in the 80's & 90's

Boxing isn't going to die or be taken over by MMA, they are seperate sports and both have a huge ammount of fans. It's like Rallying V F1 - Different parts of the world are bigger on each and Ok, F1 is ahead like MMA is, but both are still very liked and going no where imo

MMA is big all over the world, Japan & USA are leading forces. As the money in the sport grows , so will the prime time coverage

You can watch it on Bravo

To do this, you'll need a television, a sky digibox or Freeview box, and a time machine
