Ok, looking at the above picture, directly to the right of the yellow dipstick there is a short, small rubber hose going across towards the battery - not actually to the battery, but it seems to go into the big black plastic hose.

Well I was looking under my bonnet today and noticed my hose isn't connected to the big plastic hose - tried to put it in, but it didn't seem to want to know.

So what does the hose do and how do I fix it?

if thats what your on about should push back on try warming it up with a lighter so it softens enough to push it back on

If you look to the immediate right of the dipstick, there is what is looks like a silver block. Immediately to the right of the 'block', is a brown/old clip which on the hose I mean, with a little bit of white on it.
