View Full Version : flashing key on dash car not starting

i have had the battery off the car four a couple of days on charge when i put it back on today there is key that is flashing on the dash there is also a clicking nose coming from the ecu and the ecu fuse keeps blowing the car was starting fine before i took the battery off.

your immbobilser is locked mate 50 quid at a citreon garage

Try and use your spare key mate.

i only have one key and would the immbobilser been locked cause the ecu fuse to keep blowing

Yeah my vtr has done this twice and all i did was disconnect the battery and left it a bit and it worked, the other time it happened it didnt work when i locked the car with the key thob and unlocked it again and it worked, but not done it since :D

How bloody much...the transponder arial is 16 quid from citroen, takes two secs to fit!
If they try to charge 40 quid to plus something in then id tell them to do one!

I just rebuilt mine :)

Can you fully remove the immobiliser or is it in the ecu ?

i have phoned citreon who are going to charge 70 pound just to have a look they said there could be a 100 things wrong with the car does any one know anyone else who can have a look at the car or has it got to go to citreon. i live in blyth nortumberland so around that area would be good.

i have tried to disconnect the battery and left it off for a bit and the car will still not start

your ecu is locked mate your immobiliser has activated
ye for 50 quid you could go citroen
and get it sorted but what if it happens again ?
for an extra 40 you could get your ecu unlocked from
a place called bluehawk electronics there based in hucknall notts
.. its either citroen or bluehawk mate because you ain't getting that started again without your ecu sorted

got car started had to unplug a plug behind the passenger side headlight unplug it and the car starts fine with no flashing key on dash but when you plug it in the flashing light comes back on and the ecu fuse blows and the car will not start now the car is starting it has no power streeing. it is a blue plug does any one know what this plug is for ?
