Doing 40 or so coming to a bend where a skip was and a car was coming one, locked up and i knew i want going to stop so was it was hit the skip the car or the kerb.

Hit the kerb and bounced off it the on coming car dint even stop to see if i was alrite thank you mate.

Wated 2 hours to get picked up anyway my wheel gone rite back inot the arch looks like done me axel, drive shaft and god knows what else untill get it somewere i dunoo smileys/smiley19.gif

Only good thing i can take from it i have'ent done any damage to the body work and im alrite lol

Hopefully you'll be able to get it fixed mate, but unless you strip it down & have a look at the chassis you really cant tell.

Atleast you did the good thing by trying to cause the least amount of damage.

The other driver should have stopped, he/she witnesed it.

Who took me home told me to get the number off the skip and get them to pay for damages as the skip want lit proper...

well if the skip wasnt properly position off the road etc and it clearly abstructed you then I agree its the skip complany's fault - so you might be lucky and get them to pay but dont get your hope up :S

ner im not i mean it want like it came out of no-were just the road was so slippy only myself to blame with it being wet should take it into account.

at least u know how to crash properlly ;)

and u wont have to claim as nothing else was damaged so u shud be able to keep ur noclaims smileys/happy.gif

smileys/smiley3.gif Memories, i had a accident few weeks back locked up and went up kirb, the damages are exactly the same from them pics and mine was a rite off cause it took the chassis back slightly. Hope you can get yours repaired smileys/smiley20.gif

thats a gonna!!

i hit my wheel and it was pushed back

nothing appeared to be bent. new wishbone, new strut, etc and it still was too far back

the chasis' bend so easy on them

I wouldent let this lie buddy, Theyve basiccly caused you to write you car off.

Was dark there was one light on one side which was almost dead

but i did see the skip just did't expect to skid for so long

cars being looked at now 1st looks got told might not be that bad smileys/smiley17.gif but im not getting my hopes up till he had a proper look at it...

Locking the wheels and skidding isn't the most efficient way of stopping. Cadence braking (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadence_braking) is a technique that can help you stop much quicker and you can also maintain some steering control.

Of course this doesn't apply to cars that have ABS fitted.

At least no-one was hurt - hope you manage to get everything fixed.

Good news got it fixed going to need to get it re-ligned and prob get a new wheel all together be best.

Cost me £85 to get it done he said he drives alrite but on my way to pick it up now so soon find out!

Nope all fine just need to get re-lined one thing now is me brakes are sh*t so need to get them sorted now.

I done the exact same thing on Friday night in My Renault..

My wheels in about the same posistion as yours but more like \ lol it's knocked all my suspension out and looks like the axle and drive shaft have been bent to fuck..

I cant work out Putfile and this website so ill just give the link smileys/smiley17.gif

Drive shaft has just gone well think its that was pulling off top of my street, at first thought it was my clucth but will not go into gear.

Can here the drive shaft going round so got to take it back to the garrage 2moro and see whats what.

Update got a new drive shaft fitted only cost £40 and get my car back 2moro just hope thats the end of it! smileys/smiley17.gif
