The owner of this saxo was insured but got hit by an un-insured driver in a mercedes which was on wrong side of the road, The saxo driver could not get paid due to not declaring the mods on his car.... another one bites the dust...

Always declare mods, or you may as well not bother having insurance
Unlucky for saxo driver

Probably very few but the question that asks 'Has the car been modified' in an insurance quote is just as important as the 'How many years no claims bonus do you have'
Lying on either renders your policy void
When a saxo driver has a crash (own fault or not), the first thing the insurance company will do is send someone out to view the car
Guess what they are looking for on a well known boy racer car.....let me thing.....MODIFICATIONS!!
If they find any and you havent declared them....guess what, bend over and be prepared to pay out if the crash if deemed your fault

All mods. If you dont then when you injure someone on the road you go straight to jail and dont pass go.

All my mods are declared. If you haven't declared any you may have then you're a dick.

If you dont declare your mods then you have no insurance, and deserve to lose your car if you crash.
So what if you have to pay more, at least that way you dont have to worry about anything happneing.

How do you know my situation on if i've declared my mods/even have any mods??

I dont, I was meaning if you have any then they crash into you, you wont be getting it paid for by them or their insurance. Doesnt matter if you have mods or not, someone with invalid or no insurance could still hit you.
At least by declaring mods people are removing that risk.

Got to be mad not to declare everything, insurance companies want any excuse not to pay out so you have got to play it safe! Mine are all declared, cost an extra ~£100 but well worth it to be able to drive with peace of mind.
Not sure what company the owner of the sax that got written off is with but I thought a lot of companies had things to cover people if they are hit by uninsured drivers?
