mot next week

Hi all got mot next week and going give car the once over. It failed on emmisions last time. I have noticed that 1 of the alloys as got a bit of dent on the inside would this fail. Also wot's r your tips 2 get it through emmisions. I have put it all back 2 standard airbox etc. Ive looked in mot thread so hopefully it will pass.

I take it you have an aftermarket exhaust?

My MOT is due next week (Monday), luckily ive got the standard exhaust.
Mine is gonna fail on plenty of other things though :)

make sure the air filter is clean, i always clean my k and n for the mot.
get the engine realy hot, take it for a blast around the 50 and 500

Thanks will do.Last time I just drove it straight there which was like a 5 min drive. Going give it a good drive this time.

Mines never failed on emissions :p

My pre-test MOT was a failure due to the cylinder head being shot which was obvious.. but failed on allot of other things I.E brakes (have new ones here to go on) couple of niggly things and im needing a new cat and a MK1 center section to get it to sail through, all in all, will be spending about £600 to get it back on the road or something silly like that just for the engine work and doing all the trivial things..

I have an aftermarket exhaust, it failed on emissions. They put a new cat on and cleaned out the throttle body and it passed. So should pass on emissions this time round, just wondering what else it will prob fail on though...
