Save up for a VTS lol.

I feel old saying it and i know when you're young you want to do everything there and then, but it's really the best idea.

Sound system's aren't my thing tbh. I'd say you can't beat decent 6x9s, tweeters, crossovers, and door speakers with a good headunit :D Worked fine for me!

get the vtr kit mate, if these are the only options, look good on the outside and buy a cheapo sub/amp for time being?

Yeh true that.

Sound system would include;
2 12'' jbl subs (1200w) each
4 vibe 6x9 (420w) each
2 amps (500w) each
2 vibe door speakers (250w) each
powercap.

or the bodykit...

Need more people to help me decide some of my mates are saying yeh sound system some are saying bodykit.

Heres my sound system at the mo:

And my car without the bodykit at the mo:

Tbh looks tidy as a flatty! Dont see many round any more! Even i put a vt kit on mine, wish id didnt...and after you chop 2" off your rear arch, you will need to lower it more to look good lol.

The sound system...looks abit out dated!

Younsee where im comming from here?

Yeh mate i see where your coming from... i do like my car flatty but i would say bodykit looks so sexy lowering i don't mind doing thats not a problem i was thinking redo soundsystem/build. 2 subs and a powercap in the middle and amp on the floor.. such a hard choice

Serious thread?

It's not gonna look much better with a VT kit on, they aren't that great, so just upgrade the stuff that makes the car better. Personally, I'd save up for a better looking car, like a vtr, and then get an install.

I've spend like 200 pound from standard on my car so its not much.. im 17 wouldn't afford the insurance for vtr lol

fair enough, your car looks alright as it is though, it doesn't need a few bits of extra plastic around the arch...

I'd put a VT kit on, buy one in matching colour and it shouldn't be too hard and will make it look 100x better.

That install looks so cheap

There's a guy selling his DC5 right now and the install in his is one of the nicest, cleanest installs i've seen...and he did it himself!

That boot build definately looks photoshopped, the speakers aren't in line the top left 6x9 looks like a pic off google images

Peter for the price off that thing you could fit a PC in your car.. Micro ATX case, dunno how else you'd do it, it does look like the bollocks of a media player, but for the money I'd rather have a PC that can do fucking everything.. For example, I'd blatantly drive out into the countryside and long onto warcraft. Would have too be done.

I might print off a picture of a boot install onto a massive sheet of paper, and glue it into the back of my car

Will look awesome

I did think it may have been shopped when I first saw it.. but then I thought "Who would do that?" It's not like it even looks amazing, not terrible, but not to the level where you'd bother shopping it.

Peter_D
3rd October 2010, 19:24
It's stupid.. If i had an install like that in my car, i would actually photoshop a standard boot into the car to hide it
