What are your views on this? I currently use DoDo juice Light Fantastic but was recommended Collinite 456 or is it 476?! Anyway I was recommended it, apparently it's really really good and durable but a b**tard to buff off... Worth using over the winter time?? Thought i'd ask the experts on here..

Cheers :y:

It's my wax of choice, not too hard to buff off if you put it on properly mate. And i always use two layers. Did my saxo about 4 months ago and it's still beading well :)

If you plan on waxing once over winter then yes......if your gonna keep maintaining the fnish and waxing when you can imo stick with the dodo juice.

915 is easy on/ easy off and lasts longer than 476 imo.

Tried loads of waxes and I come back to 915 every time - great value for money.

Cheers guys.. I didn't see the 915 one.. Both have really good reviews and similar comments on CYC! Are they much different or better than each other in any way?

Sorry to hijack your thread but was going to ask if anyone knows if collinite 476 can be applied with a rotary or by hand only.
Also, if applying wet mirror finish sealant, should you leave that to cure for a day or so before applying the wax?

I have applied it with a DAS and a spot pad but though it was a lot quicker on large areas, I did apply by hand in the little areas like the chevrons, round the fog lights, grill etc ...the bits that don't always get done with a pad.

just to bump up an old thread instead of starting a new one, i used collinite 476 and found it such a bastard to buff off! and it also left a white power residue everywhere which is really difficult to get rid off :( am i doing something wrong?

Putting it on too thick dude.

If you can get hold of an applicator sponge, damp it slightly then apply it using that. It reduces the amount you put on and provides even coverage. (Old trick used when applying make up too........... so i hear)

I think colo 476 is a piece of piss to apply with fingers tbh
