Have my car up on axle stands just now with the wheel off and ive noticed this pipe in the rear drivers side arch. At the end of the pipe theres a small white plastic part. Thinking it could possibly be something to do with the fuel filler which ive removed.

Cant find my hanyes manual to try use that to find out what it is. Just wanting to know if its something that needs to be kept or if itll be ok for me to cut and plug with a bolt before undersealing the arches.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Its a breather pipe for the fuel tank

Brilliant so should be able to just block it up when as my tank will be going under bonnet. Do you have any idea where it goes once in the other side of arch?

Ive never investigated on a saxo.
On a 306 it connects to filler pipe if i remember correctly.
