Opinions on Englands chances?
I personally think Sven was right to call up Theo Walcott, world cups are won with fairytales (think Pele). However he was wrong with Peter Crouch, a giant Plonker to replace Michael Owen?!? He should have called up Darren Bent instead. Apart from that, the team looks solid and I think we have a good chance

No chance on the cup.
England to quarters then get knocked out.

My bet is on Ivory Coast lifting the cup, no seriously i think germany or brazil.

Walcott maybe good on champ manager and in the championship, can't see him doing much in world cup mind. he also sucks on Football manager 2006 smileys/smiley17.gif for my Chelski team anyway

Agreed on hargreeves, should have been wright-phillips. Rooney can be subbed out at the 11th hour, hence the standbyes, so Sven is right to name him at this stage.

Yay another Champ Man nut, I won the premiership last night with Chelsea, won the league cup and am going to win the FA and Champions League.
Have E'eto and Adriano upfront
Neved, Lampard, Ronaldhino and J. Cole in midfield
Horno, Terry, Huth and Farrera at the back

Top scorer = Adriano - 58 goals, E'eto - 55 goals, Neved - 52 goals!

Won the premiership with 10 games left! goal different of 100+ and am still have 2 months of the season left.

Hesslevtr - buy Neved! Cost you around 6mil but always gets at least 8.00

I haven't checked it out but surely there is online play where you can pit your team against others?!? We should have a face off lol. What is your average amount of goals in a game? Usually I get 5-0 - 7-0, but my best result was 14-0 against rosenbourg in the champions league

Yep lol CM2006. Chelsea have a £94mil budget if you are a benefactor. beginning of the season, sell Duff, buy Neved, E'eto and Adriano, and sign Theo Walcott for free.
In January get rid of a few crap arsed players like Drogba, Veron, Gallas etc and buy Ronaldiho..you have to pay £70mil + but he is well worth it! I have had him like 2 months and he has got like 15 goals already!

i'm a fellow champ manager player, playing with liverpool

GK - Riena
RB - Carragher
CB - Hyypia
CB - Kompany ( is well worth getting for the future )
LB - Riise
RM - Garcia
DCM- Gerrard
AM - Lampard
LM - Totti
ST - Cisse
ST - Torres

Subs.
Marcos ( GK ) Joe Cole, Wesley Sniejder, King, Teixiera ( find this player he's 22 with brilliant physical stats just not so good mental stats ) plus you can buy him for about 25,000

this team at present has won the premiership 3 times on the trot. Champions league twice, FA and League cup 3 times and cup winners cup 3 times

Yeah Kompany is meant to be good and I know Torres is known to get 60+ goals a season.
I have an unbeaten run of about 40 games lol (won all of them, no draws)

personaly i think crouch is not great in many ways but is so tall he can head the ball down to the other strike partner every time hes that tall

I still cant believe they are not playing defoe smileys/smiley5.gif

....even Wales could beat the English team (if they were in it lol)

hargreeves is so under rated, he doesnt do anything world class, but he works like fuck, hes come back from injury and is playing for the biggest team in germany.

hes taking crouch so he can throw him on with 20 mins left and he can just cause trouble, not cos hes good but cos hes tall

i cant comment on walcott, he may be brilliant, he may be shit, we just dont no so i dont no how any one can comment on that

i feel sorry for bent, hes scored 20 for a average side, that takes some doing, defoe should be there, but he hasnt been playing alot which is a big shame

wright phillips hasnt played at all, yes hes good but hes not sharp enough at the moment, we have all seen the times he has played for chelsea, maybe he should of gone to liverpool or arsenal instead of the team that would pay him the most, play matters not pay.

upfront is where the problems will be, but if owens fit then he can get goals...the rest of the team is great, gerrard and lampard both got over 20 goals each this season, coles got a few, beckham always chips in, so maybe we dont have to worry about the likes of crouch gettin goals.

we could win it, it just depends which england team turns up, the team that can beat anyone in the world, or the team that loses to northern ireland
