noticed as i accelerate more my exhaust sounds raspy even though i have a 2 day old full supersprint exhaust, it also did it before i changed it so wondering what this could be, ith having the old exhaust i thought it could have rust or someting in it because thats what it sounds like vibration rasp but it isnt so wondering what this could be??

Anyone any ideas cant be the manifold can it?

No its all been fitted correct because it was on old exhaust and also on new one which is why i think its manifold but cnt understand how it could be, dont want to buy a de cat mani for nothing :S

Do you mean its rattling no raspy? Make sure its sat on the hangers correctly, if its touching under the car either tie wrap the exhaust to a better position or remove the heat shield. Make sure the exhaust is bolted on correctly too as it could be blowing.

Thats because its a SS. Is the exhaust brand new? Does it have a centre silencer? Is that the only thing you changed when you did the exhaust? Do you have a performance manifold? Did it decat your car when you did it?

it did it when i had a standard exhaust and ive got a ss center section and backbox but like i said its a poorly sound not a rasp as such and comes as revs are higher , i havent decated it because i have a standard mani an my cats in that..

Yea come to think of it know what it sounds like as i had the same setup on my car. The cat is the problem here, the exhaust really benifits from a performance manifold as its a performance exhaust. Try pick up a cheap 4-2-1 mani and you will be very pleased you stuck with the SS. Try browsing youtube
