Yes you could but its not a standard car then, its a manufacturers (sp) alloy wheel not an aftermarket one.

Insurance companies will try everything to get out of having to pay you if you have an accident. So don't give them a reason to do so. It cost me £80 to declare my alloys on my old Furio.

i wouldnt declare it mate, hardly likely that they would do you for it if you had an accident, you could play dumb and get away with it

i insured my old vtr as standard even though it was on its arse had engine mods and alloys and when i crashed i got paid out fine so i wouldn bother with the extra cost spend it on some mods

i've already said about it they said they cant insure it if its non standard. Its got bodykit and smoothed boot, different rear clusters and the vtr alloys the only thing i've told them is its got the alloys unless i tell them the blokes taking these of and fitting the standard ones back on dont think they will believe me. Whats the likelyness of insurance company's "popping round" to check out your motor?? does this ever happen?? or do they want it declared just in case of accidents??

yes, i woudlnt try and get away with it as if they notice something on your car that hasnt been declared on your insurance it makes it invalid and you wont get paid out for it!! you would be better off declaring them. i wouldnt have thought it would have been much more to pay, if any in some cases. if they charge you a bomb, then have a hunt round as i am sure there are other insurance compnaies that will either do it for cheaper or they wont increase your premium

as far as i know, they insurance people only come round to check your car when it is a write off.

prob not alot the best thing to do is get ur mum dad or grandparents to insure it and put you as a named driver with all there no claims it is cheaper until u can afford to go on your own thats what i do
