Ant Jackson Rallying - Further update.

I spoke to Ant last week regardng the return of the team Saxo.

Unfortunately due to reasons, which I will leave Ant to respond about, Ant Jackson Rallying will no longer be racing the Saxo!

Instead, Ant and the team are having a fully spec'd Pug 205GTi built... Believe me, it was an offer they could not refuse!!

I have developed a relationship with Ant and the team and therfore on a personal level and via Saxperience, support for Ant Jackson Rallying will continue!

This does create a slightly awkward situation regarding the donations that some of you pledged to help Ant get the Saxo back on the road.

Myself and Ant fully appreciate that whilst your donations could be put to good use for the birth of the new Pug 205, this may not be your wish.

So... If you would like to have your donation to Ant Jackson Rallying refunded, please let me know ASAP, so that I can begin to make arrangements.

If you are happy for your donation to be used to help the team get back on the road with the new 205, then please let me know that also!

Can I thank everyone for their continued support and faith in the team. Here is a quick update:
The team had an offer of having a new 205 1.9 Gti built by L.A.D motorsport in return for taking away the blue Saxo plus cash. I had even took delivery of the roll cage and some new trick AVO rear dampers for the Saxo when i recieved this offer. As you can imagine it was a pretty tough decision to make, knowing how much support we've had from the Saxo community. After a chat with Simo and a lot of thinking,worrying and calculating how much debt I was getting myself into, we took the decision to go with the 205.
We have already found a red donor car, a 1990 H reg, non sunroof example in very tidy condition.
The car is midway through having it's graphics done, so we will post some pics when we have the Saxperience graphics on.
The spec of the car will be
Quaife LSD and c/r box
Twin 45 Wbbers carbs
Ported and polished head with PTS cam
High comp pistons
Bilstein suspension all round
Big brake kit
2.1 turn quick rack
Adjustable bottom arms

We will be out on our first rally in August, competing on the Pennine Stages on Anglesey.
