one off them is a 106 normal engine but here everybody uses the 13x59 reinforced final whith vts box.
the espirito racing one...i also want to know what engine it uses!???
but i ve look into...and its a tu engine whith a BIGGGG air inducion horn.a lot biger than the usual we use!

dont know if its a 1600 or 1800 one..

it runs a big air inlet whith single trotle bodie..only seen one time and a few seconds but it takes 8-9 secouds to any other saxo.

i belive we can kill m3 skylines and other IF they are not usual track driver.

Guy who owned the one I passed in this vid didnt think so. Came and had a chat to me after about the car and things. Shit camera angle but you get the point. A few times on that day I just used the power on him down a straight.

You can see im clearly catching the Blue E36 M3 down the straight at the start of the video and had to blend out.

Then theres the evo I pushed down the straight on another occasion (as witnessed by some people on the rallye reg).

Put a decent engine in a saxo and it will keep up with a few things fairly easily. On a power circuit like silverstone you will expect huge bhp pushing cars to fly by me mind.

Different gearbox ill be running when back should make it a bit better in gear with any luck though.

Yeah I know he nearly lost it. That silver escort did the same, lots of power = big slide at the top of the mountain a couple of times. Its a bit battered, last time I was out it went backwards into the tyres at the entry to Mansfield bend.

Yeah car was great for standard to be fair :) I know the track well now so its just a bit frustrating when others hold you up. Can tell I was one of the quickest through the mountain section.

They are usually around 130bhp I think...

i was not happy with the tyre r1r i was using at snetterton :(

the yellow saxo was a stock hatch car, very expensive one, harry is correct on the cam and ecu upgrade. its a half mk1 and half mk2 engine ast suspension i think.

i had crashed twice before the saxo chase so i had to take it steady or i was going home :(

Obviously recognised your car but couldn't put a face to it lol. With such a short track session i didn't really get much time for chatting. I had a lot of people come and ask me about my car, had to tell them to come back after dinner lol.

When i told him you wouldn't go any lower i didn't here anymore from him so presumed he was looking for cheaper 1. He's building it on a tight budget and has missed a few for £50 so thought that was his limit.

Ill speak to him about it :)

Just watched the whole thing... And sorry to say... that was VERY messy.

To name a few.. full throttle gear-changes / aggressive gear changes / crunching+missing / limiter abuse / keep changing lines mid bend / turning in while braking resulting in oversteer (on the same bend lap after lap).

Hillclimb's are hillclimb's, i take them as they come. I prefer hills as they demands precision driving, its not like a country lane blast at all.

Its a cheap motorsport to get into, the most expensive bit is buying a suit/helmet/gloves really. After that its £30-£40 for a MSA licence, join an approved car club and do a few minor safety mods to your car, make a timing strut for the fron of your car and your ready to compete.

Hmm, Sounds interesting. I'd like to do something competitive but couldn't afford to race in a full series or anything mega money.

Maybe it's something I could look at aiming for for next year. Get a licence sorted and see what I can have a go at. I have a few other quite expensive hobbies so I'd never have enough free cash to do a lot but i'd like to see if I could have a go at things and see if I was actually any good at any of the events lol.

ive had someone ask if id stayed bodies but tuned the old engine more to 220 bhp would i prefere that? NO! i am well above that and am still want more power.

the thing with this charged engine over a highly strung na is this... is in what id call a low level of tune. miles more scope with 198 torques. get that from an 1.6 N/A.

Ok so here is my first in car from the 5th race of the GTCC ( Greek Track Championship of Clubs )
I am competing in the S1 category 4wd turbo powered cars due to adjustable rear wishbones... other than that car is an subaru impreza with a 2.0 sequential turbo engine transplant from a legacy power is around 250-270
The chicane is to keep average speed down , as we are competing with road cars and not race cars , 3rd lap overenthusiastic with the braking point !
Also only had three laps prior to the race , on this track so didn't really get to learn it..

It is something like English track days , only that we get 3 timed laps , you can only remove your seats and use DOT tyres (toyo r888 etc )

In the " racing " categories you get roll cages , homologated seats / belts etc :y:
