Hi, lol.

Bit of a noob, but been having a look round and know this is a bit of a job. I was just wondering that, if I've got a 3 stud 1.1 that goes and is insured, and a 4 stud VTR thats not insured or financially worth fixing, would it be worth taking all that I need off the VTR and porting it on to my 1.1.

I've got the VTR for the bodywork that I need to fix my bad driving :P but was looking at the wheels and crying because they don't fit!

What do you reckon?

just take off the struts and rear beam. stick them on the 1.1, job done!

not sure if the shafts need changing too

swap the 1.1 into vtr saves the hassle of adding vtr bodykit to it like so many others do

But then you have to declare engine changes, insurance will go up even though you have decreased displacement. The doovla will want an engineers report to check its not held in with blutack...

If the vtr is shagged swap everything to the 1.1 even the engine, 1.6 powa

Problem with even looking at swapping anything to do with the engine is insurance. Im paying enough as it is with the 1.1 (The area of birmingham I live in is fairly well known for chavs and people that burgle warden control flats for the elderly).

So yeah, obviously wouldn't be doing this myself as it would fall apart lol, but is it a big job for someone who knows what they are doing? And is it easier to get this done at the same time as lowering? :geek:
