Has anyone tried putting the pug 1.9TDI engine into a diesel saxo?
If so what were the results like?
The reason for this, i've been looking into biodiesel (8p per litre fuel when done correctly) and I recon with the amount of torque that you'd have from the engine in a saxo shell should make for one hell of a quick car

having run a car on vegi oil, I would say you are going to need to be careful about choosing the right engine, as you need a pump that will cope with the higher viscosity, and an engine that is happy running alternative fuels as modern diesels dont like them.

Got the idea as i've been reading PPC and they're doing a running article on making your own bio-diesel. Had a look for a coverter and found this http://www.yorkshiregreenfuels.co.uk/processor.asp
From the material i've read aslong as the oil is filtered and processed correctly then there shouldn't be any need to change the pump only upgrade the fuel lines.

Wouldn't it be very nose heavy/understeering with a large derv lump upfront?
