Number plate light bulb is a 501 capless :y:

BBC or andrew page supply them, dont cost much.

It will have 12V w5w on the bulb

Good old fuse 12. Seems to be a lot of this about.

Fuse 13 covers the number plate lights so it isn't that.
Have you been working on any of the following........

Audio System, Lights on Audible warning, Daytime lamps control, Facade lighting, Lighting with rheostat/ without rheostat (whatever that means), Front right side light, Front left side light, Rear right side light, Air con switch, Sidelight warning lamp, Ciggy lighter.

All covered by fuse 12

That's probably the root of your problem.

I would recommend this....

1) Slide the head unit back out
2) Disconnect the 2 multi pin connectors
3) Fit a new fuse and check the lights on/door open alarm sounds
(easiest way to check the fuse hasn't blown again)
4) Give a little tug on each of the wires

My best guess is that one of these has worked loose or frayed and come away. The lives (there are 3 of them) are very close to the earth and it doesn't take much to cause a short.

Did my boys a couple of weeks ago, He had exactly the same problem.
