are menzerna pads good quality? because i got 6 when i bought my da machine and i used 1 for my wifes dads car then reused it on my brothers car and it lasted a few panels then fell to bits,so i replaced with a new one out the bag it only just lasted to the end of the car.am i applying to much pressure? not enough? to high a speed? was looking at hexlogic pads for replacing these ones

Ive used menzerna pads for many years now and only had one pad fail......the issue i had was the velcro came un stuck.

As Paul says....did you condition the pad?? Chances are you are applying way too much pressure. The idea with a machine polisher is you let the machine do the work for you.....only very light pressure is needed.

Yep sounds like your applying to much pressure, let the machine do all the work.

And as gayface said, prep the pad.

I tend to give the pad a spray with some Quick Detailer before starting/ applying polish.

The stuff Woody has linked is very good, but QD is just as easy and usually more available to hand at the time.

If you use GTech P1 then water is all that is required

Smack bang wollop! Serious Performance do an equally as good QD which is basically the same stuff.
