Should be dealt with this morning peeps.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

A security update was made available but was not installed.

Just a little update...

The board was upgraded this morning which we thought would have removed the "unwanted visitors" but it appears they still exist. We're going to be working on it tonight and should hopefully have it all back up and running.

I apologise again for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Oh shit, who would have thought we would get a virus mail from fsc.

I clicked on the link twice, does that mean iam infected smileys/smiley13.gif

Email programs usually block executable (.exe) files. If not, then the recipients usually steer clear of them but obviously not in your case smileys/smiley5.gif

If you have your virus scan enabled and latest updates, then you should be fine. If not... just see if you notice anything different. You will know if you've been infected because it starts to run and open scripts on your PC.

I stupidly clicked the link in the email as I was in a rush... and it was from a trusted source.

As soon as it started to load i noticed it was a .exe and closed the window. However I did a virus scan and Norton found I was infected... deleted malicious code now, but it was rapid spreading.

Sorry about that guys and girls. The email in question was sent to 650 members out of the 750 that are registered so only a selection were emailed.

The Trojan doesn't try and install when I access FSC anymore but it does for others. Will see what the situation is tonight.

Once your worm block is activated it stays activated, so you wont see it again...

Should just be able to delete the malicious code from the server.

Im guessing all IV boards were vunerable to this so there must be a cleanup tutorial around somewhere?

Yes... all IP boards were vunerable. But they carried out the up to date installations smileys/smiley9.gif
