Why not just check the fuses???? There is no way of knowing what you might have done.

Are the big things not relays? try replacing the 3rd one and see what happens?

Sounds like you have defiantly blown something.
Halfords will probably do them

Now you have removed the fault, eg the sub wire. Just remove the fuse and fit a TEMPORARY short wire link in its place and check that it runs. At least you will sleep at night.

can i use any wire to do this
burgerfeet
16th October 2010, 20:33
as long as it is fairly thick or it will get hot and there may no be enough current supplied to relevant circuits. A bit of you amp wire would be ok for a test.

The 80A fuse should be a clear or neutral colour. You will need a pair of pliers to pull it out.

ok cool.could i not put a piece of wire in the fuse itsself as the top comes off the fuse.thanks

Yes, you can do that. Is the fuse rectangular, just like a bigger version of all your other fuses or is it more square with a coloured body with a clear plastic top???

I know the fuse type now. Check in the day light and make sure it is not mechanically secured by clips. I will have a nose in the morning if you haven't figured it out and let you know. In the meantime, try your wire link across the fuse.
