fan doesnt work [Archive] - Saxperience

hi, i just brough a little 1.0i saxoa and ive just noticed that the fan doesnt work?? just wondering what i should check before buying a new 1. another thing aswell is i have just drained the water and put fresh water in, but after 5 mins the light temp light comes on, i turned the engine off, un done the radiator cap and hot water spat up my arm.this keep happening and im woundering how to fix it??. the only thing i cant say is before i drained the water the temp light never came on so im guessing there is an air lock some where?? :)

guide how to bleed the system i would just do the normal and check fuses wiring etc

Are you saying the fan doesn't work or the fan doesn't cut in.

If the you've checked the fan itself (wire it direct) and it doesn't work, you need a new fan because the fan motor is buggered.

If works but it's not cutting in, check the fuse, the temp sensor and wiring for continuity.

If that's all OK, ECU
