is it jus when u go over bumps or when u turn? sometimes this is the CV joint. try turning on full lock on a car park and see if it does it then.

my dad said try that, and when i did it was just normal, ive checked for looseness in the bay but i didn't find anything. new to saxo's aswell so its like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Could be the ani roll bar, thats what my clunking sound ended up being.

Cant remember exactly how much it was but it wasnt expensive.

In fact, there is another answer to this.

Mine used to have a clunking sound too. Inside the join between the cat down, and the centre pipe is like a cone shaped object. Sometimes these can become worn down, and have a slight ridge, which sounds like a clunk when it moves.

I ordered my replacement from Citroen for £14 for the set of washers / cone / springs / screws. Replaced that, and my clunk is totally gone.

Might be worth a go!

the car has a decat on it so its just a straight pipe, as for the anti roll bar i thought it might be that, as it has seen better days.

the rubber had collapsed in the join on my anti roll bar so that was the problem, is there any play in it at all? It might be that its just on it way out now.

it was the drop link, apparently some new ones got put in for the mot a couple of weeks back, and they hadn't tightened the drivers side one up

could be anything, take it to a garage or take a look yourself at all your bushes/ wish bones/drop links/anti roll bar etc..
