Hi all :)
Just swapped my Volvo 440 for a mk1 VTS and I'm missing the solid-ness of the Volvo, are the mk2 Saxos any better built? It's just, well... Everything seems to be broken? Are electrical problems common on these cars? Goes bloody well though, beat a parked Skyline yesterday!
Cheers guys

If it isnt broken, it isnt French! The garlic smell is optional
All part of the charm!

Doesn't smell of garlic, don't be daft! I think their might be a leaky window seal though cos it smells slightly of mould, but who cares with 120bhp eh???

If you want build quality buy german. If you want cheap, fast fun - buy a saxo!

It's ok you won't have any electrical issues in a saxo except for coilpacks breaking up, sensors fudging up and probably an irritating rear light bulb that works when you hit the lense. Otherwise they are good little cars. Just don't crash in it while using your 120 ponies though...won't be as safe as the grandad mobile
Oh and mk1 and mk2 are exactly the same just different to look at at the front

There's a lot of little bits that are different but they're close :)
The late mk2 vts's have more airbags, obviously citroen thought they'd better attempt to make them safer since they were becoming popular. Though its a band aid for a bullet wound really, if you crash a saxo into something reasonably hard prepare to be carried off.
Electrical problems can be common on these cars, though with them being old and "mechanic friendly" you can get in about them easily enough :y:
