White or could get a pearlescent colour so looks normal colour until the sun comes out (not v.often I know) and it has a slight tint to it, makes people look twice!!
I had a decent respray on a mk3 golf and like above, make sure you get under bonnet, boot shut and door shuts done otherwise it looks proper s**t!I didnt think about it until the garage asked me and i was goin from glacier white to green illussion( blueish tint when sun shone). cost an extra couple hundred but made it look 1million times better!!

You'd be cheaper selling up and getting another vtr in a colour you wanted. As fowk have said if you dont get the engine bay and door shuts etc done then to me that'd be a bit weird looking.

To do all that though it needs to be stripped back to a near bare shell... hence why it'd be much easier get another car I reckon, specially since 90% of the final finish comes from the prep work (that it sounds like you'll be doing....)

paint it gold coverage is only shite if you dont know how to paint and use the wrong colour primer. i would stick with the gold and just had a gold xiralic or perl to the top coat make it look different and will shimmer and change colour in the sun.

White does look good, also a rare colour of Saxo :)

They do get dirty easy though and don't look as good as other colours when detailed well but hey ho :)
