was just wondering if you can apply sealant with a D/A polisher and would you get better results than doing with an applicaton pad

If it's liquid sealant then yeah no problem. Use the lightest pad you have, there are some dedicated sealant/wax pads available.

Doubt you would notice any difference in durability/gloss though. Just makes it easier to apply evenly/thinly.
