Got me my shiny new westcoast saxo! Been lookin for one for so long now. Just startin this to ask ur opinions etc as I make my personal touches smileys/smiley2.gif
As you can see there is a small gap between the wheels and the arches...

The wheels are only 15's, first off should i get them polished as they are quite badly curbed, or just buy some 16's and get it lowered?

My newly bought sub n amp, my first proper addition. Not wired yet smileys/smiley17.gif

car looks good & has plenty of potential. you could get the 15's polished up, but you have to think what you would be happier with. polished 15's & lowered or new 16's & lowered. obviously there'll be a price difference as well
i've got 15's on my car & am very happy with them. but its not lowered (yet) and i have to admit 16's have been calling

Yeah if i lowered it 40 mm could i change the wheels later or would it be a different setup so needing new suspension as well as wheels?
hesslevtr
14th May 2006, 04:25
you can lower it now then change the wheels later on you might need todo some arch mods depending on size of wheel and tyres

Cheers. May get Lenso RS5's cus i reckon they look lush. Probably require lots of work though onthe arches, so lots of money...

Yeah I'm glad i got this one, cus I been looking for a westcoast for months and i went to see this one in devon first. whcih i saw on autotrader. This pikey guy hu was the owner had to lead us to his garage which was down loadsa little country lanes, on top of a hill next to the motorway miles from anywhere. Anyway I got in it and it smelt so damp, the passenger footwell was soaked and the fabric liner in the boot was so wet it disintergrated in my hand lol. He said it had just been valeted, and the water in the boot was leaking light fluid! He wanted 2.5K for it. Was really desperate to get me one but had to leave it. So glad i did now lol. smileys/smiley17.gif
Another thing i have to ask, i posted this in another thread but i may aswell put it here now. Can any of u help me with this?
The panel that runs all the way down the car on the side, happens to be the left one, has come loose next to the rear wheel, so the panel sticks out by about 1 - 2 inches next to the start of the arch. I know theres normally like a little rubber/plastic stopper thing which holds the panel to the frame, and i can see the hole, but just wonderin if any of you have got any ideas on how to put it right. Not noticeable unless u know its there really but all the same.
Cheers

nice car mate the VTR alloys are nice enough if you can get some in good condition. im not a fan of the VTS wheels though, just my opinion, though a lot of people seem to like them.
but arent the VTR alloys 14"? or is it 15" am not sure. i thought you were after 16s?
i like aftermarket alloys more TBH smileys/smiley16.gif

14th May 2006, 21:32
vtr alloys are 14's
vts alloys are 15's

14th May 2006, 21:45
Yeah its gonna take ages but i will probably save for some 16's. Some government bastard keeps taxing me and apparently i can get it back, and the amount is enough for the saxo Spax 40mm drop kit on 2Modified someone on here reccommended. May be worth buying...

Need ur opinions again plz smileys/smiley2.gif
Was wondering that as the westcoast/furio interior is shockin, what do you reckon to the black ones of these until I can afford to get VTR/S / 106 etc seats?
All opinions welcome, and please bear in mind this is temporary;
