I might get shot for making this poll but the more I see SAXO's the more I notice its nearly ALWAYS a girl driving and im not just talking about 1.1's, its mainly vtrs if im honest. No offence to anybody I am just seriosly curios what people think.

The poll is for saxo in general so please no "ermmm a shit hot 1.6 vts is no girls car Vrooooooommmmmmmmm" etc

Course its a guys car, whats the ratio of guys to gals being members on here or anywhere else Saxo orientated smileys/smiley17.gif if you want a girls car surely it has to be Micras or Ka's

I think it's purely coincidence that you've all seen more lasses driving mk2's than guys. I completely agree. BUT, it seems all the women etc that drive vtr's etc are borrwing them off thier husband or boyfriend etc.
In my expereince anyway...

tough one to call though.

I think All Saxos are girls cars..
Most small cars are tbh..
Saxos that are tuned/modified are more guy like...
I think mk2 are more girly too. x

its both matey .A vtr/s/1.1/1.0 can be a womens car or anyones

just depends on the driver smileys/smiley2.gif

saxos are a bit of a grey area on this topic imo, if you want a girly car, you need a Ka, Micra or a 206.

nope it isn't a guy or a female car i think
a real female car is a mini cooper

It's definately a hard one to call

On that note I think it's because most girls who have VTR's etc, without being too stereotypical, do it for the image or because they think it looks pretty or simply because they can afford the insurance whereas some blokes can't. You get some girls who are interested in cars and join sites like this

I agree more women drive mk2's then mk1's. I was supposed to be getting a mk1 but at the last minute got my mk2 because it was a real bargain and only 10 miles up the road.

I think it also depends on the mods that have been done to the car too. Girls and blokes do seem to do different mods that make them more girly or masculine. I don't know if mine is more modded to a blokes taste as everytime I drive past a group of girls they find it very hard to contain the dissapointment that a female is driving smileys/smiley2.gif

Mk 2's aren't girly its just Mk 1's are ugly?

The only girls I know that drive them, drive 1.1s. But I still don't know many girls that drive saxo's. Definetly a boys car...

See where I live I find that more girls seem to be driving the MK1's and more guys tend to be driving the MK2's smileys/smiley4.gif People seem to always say that a Saxo is a 'girls' car, but I disagree, I think it genuinely is a 'unisex' car! smileys/smiley2.gif

ummm sorry? exactly how do you work that one out?

all i know is the vtr (and ONLY the vtr) has an extra 10 more bhp or somethin? which isnt even noticable anyway.

You cant really say its a guys or a girls car as it appeals to both. Generally you see more guys driving them imo.

It depends what you do to the car that makes it a male/female car.

Round here, I personally see loads of guys driving silver vtr/s's, and loads of girls driving mk2 1.1s with pink fluff trailing from the windows smileys/smiley11.gif

I don't think the saxo in general could be perceived as a girly car though - not like a ka, micra, etc.

Well Kermit (my 1996 Mk1) has always been owned by blokes, so I'm going to say guy. I agree with the comment about gals driving their boyfriends VTR/VTS's, I saw a really 'guy' modified (huge rims, massive exhaust) silver VTS the other day, and as soon as his gf got there they swopped places.

I've always wondered this, I don't really think it's more a girls or a guys car though.

I do see a lot of Saxo's about being driven by girls but I probably see just the same amount with guys in them as well, being a guy I guess I just tend to look for longer if there's a girl in the drivers seat though so it seems like there's more being driven by girls smileys/smiley4.gif
