Any pointers (James)?

I've just picked up a white saxo for the mrs which looks as though it's been valeted for the sale but not washed or polished since the last change of owner back in 2003!

The paint looks quite clean now but is very dull and scratched.

What products should I be using to bring back a deep gloss to the paint?

Opinions will vary as always....

I would polish with menzerna compounds and 3m pads as that stuff always leaves a fantastic glossy finish.

What sealant and wax do you already have Craig?

PB EX-P sealant
Carlack 68
Dodo Juice Lime Prime (if this can be used as a sealant?)

Dodo Juice Purple Haze (not good on light cars?)
Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax
Collinite Marques delegance

Was thinking of polishing with the SSR2.5 and investing in a good sealant and some Banana Armour

After using SSR2.5 you will need to use a finer polish to refine the surface, then add exp sealant and banana armour. Order some Dodo Redmist when you buy your wax also.....very good stuff.

Got some red mist. What stage would I use this?

You can use that as your sealant Craig.....and also after washing and drying the car have a wipe over with redmist and it will give a just waxed finish.

So then:

SSR2.5
Megs #3 (which I also have but never used!)
EX-P
Banana Armour

???

Worth adding a coat or 2 or the Collinite?

On my white 205. I find Dodo light fantastic produces great results as a wax.

Chemical Guys wet mirror finish also provides good results as does Red Mist.

Zaino Z6 as a detailer produces a lovely glossy finish too.

No harm in adding extra protection....especially over the harsh months
