Gearbox filler plug!!

hey guys and gals

my gearbox oil needed topping up so undone filler plug topped up gearbox oil. once dribbling out the filler plug hole i tryed to put the plug back in and nope wasnt having it seems to have cross threaded inside the box. got told to drain the gearbox and swap filler plug for drain plug and nope wouldnt go in.

any 1 got any advice to sort this out dont really wna attempt to tap or die anything.

i need this sorted by sunday as im only driver in the family i got drop my auntie off at mk coach way and lots of other driving related jobs

and its a saxo vtr w reg(2000)

any 1 think a new filler plug would sort it?

even tho the drain plug didnt go in?

in an emergency i'd use a tapered plug as used by gas fitters for blanking off pipes
