Was just wondering are EBC brake pads the best option with black diamond discs?
Ive used black diamond pads on the black diamond discs before, But Not ebc.
Has anyone else teamed these together?

which ebc?
i wouldnt team ebc greenstuff up with my push bike let alone a car!!
they left horrible deposists all over the disks, which caused massive vibrations when braking even from low speeds!!!

I have a set of yellow and red pads i could use.
I have ordered a fresh set of reds. But i have a set of yellow track pads that have cover less than 500miles that i could use.

I have heard nothing but good reviews from yellow stuff pads on track. However they wouldn't be the best choice on road going into winter

Yeah, i will not be using them over winter. Tbf i probly wont use my car as much over winter lol.
I aint going to put new pads on just yet, as my worn ones offer enough braking force, and have enough friction material to last the winter. Dont want them to strong in the snow/ice

I was on about the cold performance of the yellow pads will be significantly worse from a cold start. You may hit the brakes and plough into a junction lol

dont see the point in going down that route in standard brakes, jus use simple normal pads

I have reds all round and they feel wooden as hell until you get them hot. Being ceramic, they're pretty harsh on discs too - after a track day with them, my discs look like they've been turned in a lathe by a blind man. They were pretty superb throughout the day though, hardly took any meat off them either.
I've heard yellows are better from cold, less harsh on discs, but don't have as much 'feel' as some expensive alternatives, i.e. DS2500s.
Personally, I'd give the yellows a try. Can't go wrong for the money.

I have ran Yellows for a while now. Only Gripe is the pedal feels a bit wooden.
Only Yellows and Blues are classed as track pads.
Greens are uprated road pads and so are the reds. Personally i wouldnt even bother with either and just use Yellows on the road. I used mine over winter, they still stop from cold but tbh not to great, would say on par with OEM. Once they get a bit heat in them they are great.
The Yellows are not harsh on the discs at all imo, done loads of track days this year with the EK and it still has the discs on that were on it from Jap land. There isnt a lip on the disc yet and i am onto my third set of pads this year.
Tempted to try some bluestuff next year after reading reviews on the impreza forums :D

Cheers mate, going to leave the pads that are in it on over winter as they are still fine. Just wanted a change after winter, something i can use on the road and on RWYB days etc

As said yellows are good. Good bite from cold and work well on track.
