it's good although when fully qualified you get pissed off with ppl wanting hommers all the time

When fully qualified you can get a fair bit of money.

My dad is on £18 per hour & has his own business.

Its a good line of work to get into, aslong as your not a sparky in a factory then you will have fun going on all different sites.

My job takes me up & down the country, i love it, only bad thing is, is comming home to my nagging mum.

Iam looking into going to night school to become fully quallified so i can up my hourly rate by £3.

just finishing my apprenticeship.

Electrical technician

did my ONC for 2 years at college and just finishing the 2 years of my HNC
this is in electrical and electronic engineering.
i do more maintenance stuff than installations though.


going onto shifts soon - my apprenticeships supposed to end in september though - then first year is improvers rate about 25k, then year after goes up to full rate of £31k providing dont do anything stupid..

i'm an approved sparky at the min - £14.50 p/h

currently studying my tech grade, will take me up to £18 p/h

i'm half way thru my apprenticeship! its good but theres quite alot of college work, NVQ 3 sucks!!!!!!! but money is good and atleast they'l always be work for us smileys/smiley2.gif

pain in the arse as its so pointless and so easy to cheat round it.
