Alright mate,
What you need to do is to fit the screen in the usual place that the head unit would go and then put your dvd player in the dash's glove box. Or you could take out the centre console and create a new fiberglass version with a double din space for both to fit.
The first option is more common but either way you get what you want.

buy another center console from a scrappy to practice first or you may end up regretting sgtarting it.lol.personally id put it in the glove box, less obvious its there

i moulded a TV into my dash with fibreglass, removed the heater matrix and redirected the air feeds to the side vents, relocated my Hazards etc to where the ashtray should be. Looks the good, and was my first real attempt at anything like that.

Yeah I agree, post some pictures, I reckon you should have a go at fibreglassing.
Can't imagine it can be that hard, the only trick would be the electricals but you could get a garage to give you a hand.
Rough Fibreglassing guide (Don't really know what I'm talking about.smileys/smiley17.gif
1) Remove original centre console.
2) Tape up electricals, to ensure you don't fry yourself.
3) produce a structure(wooden)to house your audio controls and essential in car controls, heating etc.
4) Cover structure in stretchy fabric and staple down in prefered shape and trim edges.
5) Apply fibreglass resin and hardner mixture, to strechy fabric.
6) Leave for serveral hours in a well ventilated place, the colder it is, the longer it will take.
7) Apply filler to achieve a solid finish.
8) Sand down and paint in you prefered colour.
9) Test Fit, to ensure everything is the right size, if you need to change the size or angle, this is the time to do it !
10) Fix back into to centre dash and enjoy.
To be honest I don't really know how to fix the centre console back in if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
Hope this rough guide kind of helped. smileys/smiley4.gif

Actually just had a thought, could you use the outline structure of the original console and attatch your structure to that . . .
