sounds like youre thrust bearing mines just went last week, a got a fast road use techniclutch. theyre cheap and good so money well spent! got it off ebay for £81.50, the buy it now is £139.99 but the same seller puts them on with no reserve and starting bid at 81.50 with free p&p so get one the now before the clutch go's! lol

no need for a fast road clutch a std o.e valeo or a l.u.k clutch kit can handle even the biggest power.

because techniclutch clutches have a habit of de-lamination under stress that's why. and you need to get the same clutch as the gear box your fitting mate.

says it all really doesn't it 80 for a uprated? ha

not sure mate but i know you have to match the clutch kit to the gear box. i had to use the rallye clutch on when i changed to the rallye s2 box.

the clutch only has to match the flywheel, any MA gearbox fits fine so the above post is wrong. There are 2 flywheel sizes, 180mm for the 1.4s and below and the 200mm for the 1.6's. There are also 2 clutch cover plate bolt spacings. Evenly spaced and in pairs grouped closer together. The latter being the earlier type
techniclutch isnt an upgrade, they're shite. Get a genuine valeo.
