right im asking on here rather than 106 owners club as i used to have a saxo and the people on this website are so much more helpfull and as saxo and 106 suspension is identical here goes...
my 106 seems to be sliding and bouncing all over the place it was fine but now any little bump in the road and the car feels asif its bouncing all over the place. also some minor bumps that you would think should not cause problems seem to trun the steering wheel and i have to keep a tight grip to stay in control.
ive been thinking maybe the shocks need changing but im no mechanic so any ideas?
the sterring wheel also wobbles over 70mph and ive had the tracking and wheels balenced so any ideas on that??
the main thing about the car that was good was the handling and now that has gone aswell :( please help someone.

give the car a quick bounce on all 4 corners, if its bounces more than like twice, their probs fucked

ive just pushed down on all four corners of the car and the front of the car goes down then comes up then slightly goes back down and comes back up. the rear takes alot to push down and doesnt seem to go down much and when it does you can hear air or something pushing out of somewhere. im geusing the rear shocks are shot but what abour the torsion bars??? is the rear supost to be soo hard to push down??
am i best getting it checked out by a garage and how much would it cost if the rear beam/torison bars are sezied?

Pretty sure the shocks are supposed to critically damp the motion, i.e. if they go back down after coming back up, they're broke.

Not entirely true, cant really remember but think its 2 and a half bounce is about normal.

Ah, maybe for standard, I'm sure as hell my APEX ones don't haha.
Ah well, at least my suspension keeps the local chiropractor in business.

Have a look for any camber / play in the rear wheels. The handling of my vts was terrible, due to the rear axel being fucked.
Just a thought

Is it lowered? Sounds like your dampers have gone personally. Using lowering springs with standard length dampers will knack them pretty quick as shocks don't take too kindly to bottoming out.
If you don't have any play in the rear wheels and they look straight, chances are the rear beam is fine. I'd look into changing dampers asap.

ive had it looked at by a friend on the ramps and the rear shocks have gone. and need some new tyres thats it :) must be because i have my tools in the boot with alot of weight and no working shocks and the back is sending it her there and everywhere.
