Depends which ones you get aswell mine took no more than 5 minutes just all clipped into eachother and then just needed to re adjust the beam pattern

ive never been stopped for hids, neither have any of my mates. its one of those things i dont think many police will care much. As long as there not too bluey or too bright

Police isnt the problem but its bad for other road users. It really pisses me off so much I normally let people who blind me pass me and i follow up with my highs and fogs on until they turn off to a different road. :y:

i been done for them before my bro been done for them and my best mate. you get done for dazzling other road users and get a fine from 30 - 200 quid and a forced m.o.t. wouldn't risk it now that the traffic officers have been given new powers. it also pisses other road users off when they cant see behind them.
but they are legal if you can get some projector headlights for the saxo good luck with that one tho.

As people have said some Police will turn a blind eye as long as there a legal colour and not coursing undue glare to other road users. Though saying that there still illegal and most insurance companies do not cover none legal car, so would more likely then not invalidate your policy. You could be prosecuted for that too though it is very unlikely unless your in an accident or something like that.

I've just bought some 8k ones, oops lol.
As for them I know of quite a few other guys on other forums that've got them on and never had any problems. I've got a very bright white with a hint of blue but will keep them down low so I don't get in trouble I think :)

yep good luck
You may never be stop by police
one day Your highly modyfie saxo will slip from the road and hit something ( hopley not)
and then no insurance becouse of illegal lights oppps
is it worth risking and pissing off other road users

8k aren't illegal and only annoy other drivers if you don't adjust the beam and turn yours right down
Range rovers/land rovers/bmws all come with 8k projector lights and probably more of the new cars to
So I don't see the problem no body has ever dazzled me with them
Also my insurance said there fine and only went up by £3 a month

i have got 10000k HIDs and never been pulled for them or been flashed by people. They give off a awsome blue when they ignite and have a nice blue tint to them when there fully up and running. only thing people have ever said to me when i have stopped and said i like your lights lol.. i woulnt worry about them too much HOWEVER i belive HIDS are becoming illegal completely in 2011 some time for non factory fitted cars ( confirmed by a police officer ). because HIDs on factory fitted cars have auto level lights so if your on a ramp the lights stay level ( like a giroscrope like system) also they have to have other stupid rules like they have to have headlight washers... i no they have there rules but i would recommend any to put them in at min. just take them out for MOT to avoid any chance of them failing, just depends where and who u take it to. 1 time mine passed them MOT at one garage for them and antoher garage failed them... Just be carefull who ya take it to for MOT. HIDS are the future! if ya need any help i can give ya a guide to fitting them. i have fitted H4 kits on both my saxos and changed the bulbs to different colours i.e 8k and 10k etc. it really is a peace of pickle :)
