gauge ideas!!!

hi guys i want to put a gauge in my mk2 but dont really fancie the idea of loosing my big air vent does anyone know if its possible to fit one in the area just in front of the gear stick ?? that space where your phone and all your change usually goes lol any replies greatly appretiated thanks jay
