My 1st car and its a saxo

Hello, my name is Alec and I'm 17 and I passed my test like 3 weeks ago now and whilst i was learning my dad bought me a blue Citroen Saxo 1.1i (pic coming soon) and its got some alloys, air filter to make it sound pretty awesome and got some blue neons underneath (hardly ever use them) and I got some good ideas for it but I am kinda new to the whole tuning scene I don't really wanna tune up the performance else the insurance will go skyhigh, just want to make it look good.

I am also dirt poor so the cheaper the better in my case.

I have some problems as well with it already, some1 had a bright idea of putting oil in the radiator filler cap, alternator went so my dad's wallet is going down fast but I have probably about £200 at the moment to get some mods

yeh the guy who I bought it off had put oil into the radiator :p had a flush put through and now its all running fine

lol my bro is taking his time might be tomoz morning when i get the pics up tbh im such a noob to do with cars I have been looking at some people progress threads and they r just talking like pros and I'm like wtf are they on about :p My aim to to get this car done and then when I am older open a garage kinda deal whilst working as a freelancer as a games developer

done some work on my car today, tightened the handbrake so that it actually stops the car moving on 3 clicks, took off the neons and the stickers and wacked in the anti-freeze for the car good day today

Welcome buddy, lower it, loose the stickers, tint rear lights some vtr alloys will look smart.

Got no idea about wat wheels to get as i said i am new to the tuning scene so any links would be lovely

@shannon i got it for (dad paid) £1125 for it or something along those lines

and finally @ marc i got rid of the stickers when i took the neons off, needs lowering just need to save up for that but need to get a new front left light cause i got some damage on that side so any links for new lights would be grand as well as some wheel links

yeah get rid of the neons. if you dont have much money to spend get the lowering kit from losuspension.com they do cheap suspensions but torsion bar at the back. thats going to be a pain that will be a start though

@ danny i got rid of the neons last week mate and yeh money is abit tight so thx for the link u know any1 in my area that could do the lowering for me don't wanna screw it up if i do it yanoo
