My car was lowered by 40 mm and is now making a lot of noise on the rear, when i went to take the wheels off i noticed that one side dropped down and the bolt out of the end plate was gone, is that bolt meant to be there, is it dangeroud to drive it like that?

yes its dangerous, anti roll bar can creep out and poke into your wheel/tyre, it makes a mess. Funnily enough, sold an anti roll bar to a guy this morning who had it happen to him. Why can't people tighten things up when they lower cars???

just throw in another bolt with some threadlock and count yourself lucky for not noticing later lol

or it could have just rattled loose and fell out?
Not un-common for them to work loose, even seen some snap on track days.

Get a new bolt in there, if needs be clean the thread out with an M8 tap.
Make sure you use some decent thread lock when putting it in.

If it is because some cowboy has fucked the threads and you can't clean them up by re-tapping them, you'll have to drill a slightly bigger hole and re tap it with a bigger size, and use a bigger bolt.
