I have a mk1 vts.. Am looking to lower and all round improve the feel of the ride.. I need some advice on how low to go all round.. And half decent but not stupid money shock set.. Iv seen some sets of springs for it.. Do you need 4 springs when the back is the torsion bar? And i think i want the back lower than the front? Dan

only 2 front springs needed, alter the tortion bar to match, need front and rear dampers, hear apex is good for a budget :)

Spax PSX are a very good fast road kit, -40mm is the better option and they come with front and rear adjustable dampers. You defo do not want the rear lower than the front, it will totally ruin the handling mate, nose down for a front wheel drive car
