If I wanted to get insured on a specific car for a week...

What's the best way to do it?

Do I take out a new policy with my current insurance company?

Are there specific companies that specialise in short term insurance (e.g. 48 hours / 7 days etc)

Or do all insurance companies do this and it's just a case of finding the cheapest?

I'm 20 btw..

What's temp cover mate can you explain? I'm not really clued up on the insurance field if i'm honest! Can this be taken out with any insurance company?

Oh for under 21 you may struggle to get temp cover.
And if you put a car on your policy for a week will sting you would imagine.
Phone up your company.. see what they say. Just tell them you need to drive a car for a week.

Ok thanks for your help man. My friend got temp cover and he's only 19 so there must be some companies that do it. I'm 20 so ya never know!

Im with Bell and all i have to do is ring up and say i want Temp Cover for a car and they will do it...Its normally around £15 - £30 for a week :)

Ye, it come in handy some times. When i went to buy my Cupra i rang up saying i want temp comver just incase i was coming home with it and charged me £22 for the week fully comp :)

Phone your current insurer and see if they will allow you to add a car onto your insurance temporarily.
