I have something called something like "fire ring" or "fire flange" replaced a few times under warranty now and its gone again. Shame the car is out of warranty now. Its a piece of metal that connects the exhaust to the manifold. When the torque of the engine is taken up it makes an annoying clanking noise. Has anyone else had this and found a way to fix it?

I was never shown it so not sure. Citroen said it was a common problem and that Citroen never did a mod kit to fix it. Normally i think its like a flexible hose whereas on the VTS for some reason they did it it metal. Well thats the crap they told me.

its like a mesh wire ring which sqashes down to make a seal / gasket between the manifold and cat. Mine was blowing after fitting new system couldnt figure out why untill i took it to exhaust center.
