if your still wanting to do this mate if your mot aint to soon
i dont know if this works on saxo's worth having a look jack up rear of car and there should be on either side near disc or drum the handbrake cable and it should have an adjuster and if not the other place it will be will be below the handbrake under the car

Not sure on saxo's but I know most cars have a little 10mm nut located next to the handbrake cablle under carpet which you just turn to tighten.

under the car, 13/14mm nut on the end of the cables, tighten that! sorted.

you need to take your heat sheild of , its above the centre section.. then you will see ( i think its a 10 or 14mm nut) coming off the cable for the hand brake. give it a few turns and test for how many clicks.. keep doin this untill your happy

saxos have an automatic lever latch adjuster in the handbrake.
reverse the vehicle and then apply the brakes.
the lever latch will adjust until it comes into contact with the drum lining.
this should sort out your problem :)
