Stickers/window tint

hey peeps! smileys/smiley2.gif a few questions???
1)anyone know the legal limit for window tint (the film) that you put on mormal windows? I have found shed laods for sale on e-bay and every where pre-cut and really cheep but not sure what the limit is??? don't want to buy then not be able to use??? any help would be appreciated!

2)I'm after VTR stickers for windows etc, anyone know anywhere good to get them from or any other good graphics for a good price,

1) think its 30%, look at the list of things at the top, where it says active
topics, forum home and SEARCH then search window tints, sure it
will be there, Damo has posted about this lots.

75% of lights has to be able to pass through the windows. That means 25% maximum tint from the B pillar forward.

Although from the b-pillar back you can have as much tint as you want, there's nor restrictions.

They is not a grade of tint taht you can apply to the front windows on a saxo. Any Film at all takes it over the limit.

They don't seem to stop people with it done on their X5's etc, just us innocent lot smileys/smiley7.gif

NO TINTS ARE ALLOWED ON FRONT WINDOWS BUT THERE IS NO LIMIT FOR THE REAR. JUST ASK A TINTING COMPANY AND THEY WILL REFUSE TO DO YOUR FRONTS UNLESS THEY ARE OFFERING TO DO IT ILLEGALLY

ive had a qoute from a local tinter and he said 200 quid, seems a bit steep to me

all you can do is ask around mate. if you just tell them that you are price hunting they may knock a bit more off to tempt you smileys/smiley17.gif

agree with DarylVTR no tints alllowed in front sides and windscreen, yet your allowed anything in rear and rear sides!
