The have now been released I seen on the news.

Point 1: why did they sail their yatchmaster into dangerous pirate ridden waters when advised not to .

Point 2: now that 1 million dollars has been paid in ransom , surely this encourages the pirates to grab more people.

What's your thoughts ?

They tried to avoid Somali waters, as they were heading to the Seychelles... But the Somalis came out further than usual and obviously intercepted them.

They were 750 miles away. Any further away and it would turn into a bloody circumnavigation of the globe

1st point is incorrect, as has already been stated.

2nd point: there are hundreds of people still kept hostage, they will do it and keep doing it. If you were in the chandlers position you wouldnt want someone to pay the ransom?
