jubilee clips are cheap as chips. Invest

I'd only use it as a temporary solution. Why not get a couple of jubilee clips?

cable ties are fine, just get the thick ones

jubilee clips work but you have to be very careful that they dont cut in to the boot or catch on the hub when turning

best off using ligerex strap

Never had an issue with cable ties on cv boots at MOT time.Infact my Saxo just passed its mot with cable tied cv boots after it failed on them not being attatched.

Never had a problem with them slipping off either.Just make sure theyr isnt any grease spewing out.

id imagine the boots will spew grease of secured with a cable tie? wouldnt think they can nip them up tight enough.

I use 2 cable ties on the bigger ends.Gets more grip and easier to get tight.Just use pliers or grips to pull them tight.Dont pull too hard though as it just snaps them.

Cheers for replies

Was gonna use Jubilee Clips but thought that they might snag on the boot or hub (think you can some ones specially designed for boots though).
Like a previous post said if cable ties are done up tight I cant see it being a problem.
