My bonnet is abit dull, i think it may have had a respray in the past.
I know there's some sort of technique, wet sanding? brings it back into shine using buffer or something?
Any one know of this? Cheers.

Machine polishing......i highly recommend you pay someone to do it for you so you get the best results.
A few guys on here offer a detailing service.....

Is it best to do it after the winter?

Ifi was you personally i would just give the car a protection detail for now to keep it protected over the winter months and next year when the good weather and show season return have it fully detailed / corrected.

Agree with James here,
My runabout I've just bought needs some wetsanding done on both wings and a machine polish.
But I'm not going to waste the money now.
I'm just going to clay mine, give it a quick polish with something simple like SRP seal it and Wax it, then next year might do a bit more.
