Got a saxo a little while ago done a few things,
new fuel filter
oil filter/oil change
drive shafts
air filter
drained coolant
all succesfully, but im just wondering if any one has ever changed the front arms as they are producing knocking noises etc(makes sense to do the whole arm as the ball joint is £22 and the arm is £34). it seems a fairly simple procedure but i just want to know if anyone has come across and silly problems that they would like to make me aware off. lol :panic:

as well, changing the cam belt. . . now i looked at the service hist' and at 36 thousand miles it had a new speedo unit. im currently on 63,000 but will they have added the miles on? im thinking not. and in the service hist' there was no mention of any cam belt change, so im thinking i am WELL over due the change. :fcuk:

cheers steveo

hwy bud, think ive gotta change my arms pretty soon as well! seems pretty straight forward, but im thinking it would most probz need a good budge to set it free! and you could get rusty bolts lol

for safe keeping i would say change the belt asap, rather safe then sorry!

how do mosh,
i did the sus' arms with no bother at all. i would say when you do come to do the arms yourself, get the ball joint in first then the bush that bolts in under the foot well second. depending on how your doing it as well remember to make sure the driveshaft dont pop out, in moments it will spill transmission fluid all over.

bolts werent too bad, one was bent/warped but still good threads, and ideally like you said it does need a bit of persuation at times, so get another man on the job too.

and the belt? ? ? ? . . . . . as soon as, next week maybe, lol
