quickshift worth it?

just a general question for my own knowledge really, if you use your saxo for general use and it doesnt see the track is it worth getting a quickshift? or do they really help with gear changing and speed

i heard they do but im not 100% sure!

only thing that stops me getting one is because they look wank when there in the car lol
